As explained in the HMS Student Handbook(page 8), the office will collect homework assignments when a student is absent for 3 or more days. You must notify the office on the third day the need for homework assignments. We also recommend that your child check the Homework Hotlink or call the Homework Hotline (412-492-6373) if possible and ask a friend to get extra handouts. We also don’t expect students who are sick to be doing homework.
Pre-Approved Educational Trips:
If your family is taking a school-approved trip during the school year, the student is responsible for collecting all assignments BEFORE leaving. These assignments will be provided when available. This may not be until the day before departure. These assignments will be due upon return to school as stated in the HMS Student Handbook (page 8).
